Why are the doors opening a half-hour early in some venues?
Our goal is to get everyone into the party as smoothly as possible. By arriving early, you’ll be able to get in, check your coat and mark your territory by one of the bars before the event officially starts.

What should I wear?
It’s New Year’s Eve.  Dress nice.

Are jackets required for guys?
Jackets no.  Pants yes.

Can I wear a tux?
Only if you plan to spend the evening passing hors d’oeuvres or parking cars.

What should women wear?
The best advice we can give is this.  Imagine a party where the men are wearing suits, sport coats, or pants and nice shirts.  Now imagine how you would want to look at a party with those men.  That’s what you should wear.

How did you choose your 10 cities?
A giant map of the country, 10 darts and a blindfold.

How did you really pick them?
We wanted to make sure that all four time zones were represented and ultimately chose cities where New Year’s Nation’s demographic was well-represented. There were several other cities vying for spots on the New Year’s Nation map. The good news is that we’re expanding aggressively next year.

How many people are you expecting this year?
More than 10,000 across all 10 cities.  We also expect a huge audience to tune into NYN-TV, New Year’s Nation’s live broadcast.

Why should I watch the broadcast from home?
You shouldn’t.  Come to the party instead. But if you choose to have people over on New Year’s or don’t live in an NYN city, we’ll bring the party to you.  Anyone can watch the ball drop in Times Square, but that story always ends the same.  The ball drops. NYN-TV will broadcast the best of New Year’s Nation from around the country. And we bring it to you live.

Will I be on camera?
We’ll have multiple cameras in each city, and we plan to broadcast for seven hours, so your city will get plenty of coverage throughout the night.  Smile.

Should I purchase General Admission or VIP tickets?
There’s no wrong answer here.  With a general admission ticket, you’ll still enjoy great food, the same premium bar and the same great party as those guests with VIP access. For those wanting more, a VIP ticket will get you into the party within the party. Our VIP sections offer extra bartenders, additional food stations and, wherever possible, separate entrances and coat checks.

Is it possible to guarantee seating?
A limited number of VIP tables will be available in some of our venues.  Please contact us for pricing information and reservations.

What kind of music can I expect to hear?
The good kind.  For more information, check out the Entertainment section on your city's page.  New Year’s Nation’s lineup represents some of the most talented artists in the business.

What kind of crowd are you expecting?
Young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s, a great mix of singles and couples and an even male/female ratio.

How do I get tickets?
Click on the "Buy Tickets" link, select the event in your city on our ticketing page, and follow the purchasing instructions.

Can I pay with cash?
Yes.  If you would prefer to pay with cash, please contact us to make special arrangements.

Will tickets be sold at the door?
We expect to sell out in all of our cities. However, if there are tickets available, they can be purchased at the door the night of the event.

Will anyone under 21 be admitted?
No.

Will New Year’s Nation expand to more cities in the future?
Yes. New Year’s Nation continues its domestic expansion this year and has long-term plans to take the party international.
